About Discovering Dementia

It began after Penny's mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia - Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia

Penny started to research what she could do to help her mum and the more she found out, the more she thought it might be helpful to share what she discovered with others who may be interested and perhaps going through a similar experience.

Our Story

One story seems to lead to the next. This is not an expert, just a daughter trying to find ways to make life easier for her mum.

Mum is keen to share her story, too, to help break down some of the stigma and barriers there seem to still be when it comes to talking about dementia.
